The Answers You Need

How do I place an order?

Orders can be placed by a number of means. Through the celebration cakes or cupcakes enquiry forms on the website, or by email to littlechimesbakery@gmail.com. Or direct message through messenger on Facebook or Instagram direct message. Or let's discuss your ideas on  07498 211116.

 

How can I pay?

Online electronic payments processed by Square are now accepted for all orders. For bespoke orders, once your order has been finalised, you will receive an invoice that confirms the details of your order and the price agreed. If you are happy with this, then payment to Little Chimes Bakery is by the Square link in the invoice email. Full payment is required at the time of order if less than 4 weeks' notice. Otherwise a deposit of 25% the total price is required to reserve the date.

Do you do dietary requirements?

All cakes are made to order, and as such can be tailored to specifications. The recipes used are vegetarian. As it is a home kitchen it cannot be guaranteed to be completely allergy free, but processes are in place to ensure cross contamination is minimised.

Where are you?

The bakery is within the village of Hoo St Werburgh near Rochester, Kent.

Do you have a shop?

I do not have a shop that you can visit at present. Cakes and bakes are purchased by enquiry and are made to order only.

Where do you deliver to?

All deliveries within Medway are free of charge. There is a surcharge of £15 for deliveries within Kent. Please enquire for home delivery elsewhere i.e. Essex, as there is an additional charge. All deliveries and venue set up if required, are conducted in accordance with current government guidelines.

Can I collect from you?

By appointment only, and are conducted in accordance with current government guidelines.

How do I know that you are safe?

I have received a 5 star rating food safety rating from Medway Council and am fully insured. I undertake a strict cleaning and food safety regime in accordance with the Food Standards regulations. Do note I am currently also operating an enhanced Covid Secure cleaning schedule at present. Please also check out the Testimonials page or other reviews elsewhere.

Is it possible to cancel/change/amend requirements or dates?

Yes if there is sufficient notice. Please refer to the Terms and Conditions document on the About page for full details

Can I order for delivery on the same day?

It will depend on the nature of the order and the bookings already in place. Please call to confirm availability and to see what can be arranged.

Are all cakes postable?

Although I can post cookies, and bespoke brownies, it is not recommended to post cakes with buttercream or complex designs. A courier can be arranged, but do note that this will attract a significant charge. Please call to discuss your request.

What do I do with the boxes and boards that the cakes arrive in?

Do you want them back?

Unfortunately due to Food Standards I can't reuse them. You are more than welcome to reuse them yourself or they can be recycled by your usual method and the stickers are compostable if you have the facilities. The white cake boards may be able to be gently wiped clean, but cannot be reused for hot foods.
