How do I place an order?
Orders can be placed by a number of means. By email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Or direct message through messenger on Facebook or Instagram direct message. Or by calling 07498 211 116.
How can I pay?
You will receive an invoice that confirms the details of your order and the price. If you are happy with this, then payment to Little Chimes Bakery is by your usual electronic bank transfer method. Full payment is required at the time of order if less than 4 weeks' notice. Otherwise a deposit of 25% the total price is required to reserve the date.
Do you do dietary requirements?
All cakes are made to order, and as such can be tailored to specifications. The recipes used are vegetarian. As it is a home kitchen it cannot be guaranteed to be completely allergy free, but processes are in place to ensure cross contamination is minimised.
Where are you?
The bakery is within the village of Hoo St Werburgh near Rochester, Kent.
Do you have a shop?
I do not have a shop that you can visit at present. I will be looking to launch an online shop in 2021.
Where do you deliver to?
All deliveries within Medway are free of charge. Outside of this, there will be charge of £1 per mile and is dependent on location. All deliveries are conducted in a contactless way in accordance with current guidelines.
Can I collect from you?
Unfortunately this is unavailable due to current restrictions and insurance purposes.
How do I know that you are safe?
I am fully insured and registered with Medway Council. I undertake a strict cleaning and food safety regime in accordance with the Food Standards regulations. Please also check out the Testimonials page or other reviews.
Is it possible to cancel/change/amend requirements or dates?
Yes if there is sufficient notice. Please refer to the Terms and Conditions document on the About page for full details.
Can I order for delivery on the same day?
It will depend on the nature of the order and the bookings already in place. Please call to confirm availability and to see what can be arranged.
Are all cakes postable?
At present only the winter fruit cake is available by post. It is not recommended to post cakes with buttercream or complex designs. A courier can be arranged, but do note that this will attract a significant charge. Please call to discuss your request.
What do I do with the boxes and boards that the cakes arrive in? Do you want them back?
Unfortunately due to Food Standards I can't reuse them. You are more than welcome to reuse them yourself or they can be recycled by your usual method and the stickers are compostable. The white cake boards maybe able to be wiped clean, but cannot be reused for hot foods.
